What is candy raver?

A candy raver is a subculture within the rave community that is known for its colorful and extravagant fashion, which often includes neon colors, furry leg warmers, tutus, and lots of candy jewelry. Candy ravers are also known for their love of electronic dance music, specifically upbeat and fast-paced genres like happy hardcore and hardstyle. Some of the key elements of candy raver culture include trading candy bracelets and other accessories with other ravers, creating and wearing "kandi" (bracelets made from colorful beads), and promoting PLUR (Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect) as a core value. Though candy raving peaked in popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s, many people still participate in this culture today and attend candy raves all over the world.
